Chap. 164.—An ACT to validate the issuance of $55,000.00 of bonds for the im-
provement of the water supply system of the town of Berryville, Virginia.

Whereas, by an ordinance of the town council of Berryville, duly
adopted at a meeting held September eighth, nineteen hundred and
twenty-five, a certified copy of which was presented to the circuit
court of Clarke county, requesting the calling of a special election of
the qualified voters of said town of Berryville to determine whether
or not the bonds of said town in the amount of fifty-five tnaousand dol-
lars should be issued for the purpose of constructing and installing
a six million gallon water storage reservoir in connection with and in
addition to the present water supply system of said town; and
Whereas, at such special election duly called and held on the
twenty-fourth day of Sptember, nineteen hundred and twenty-five,
for the purpose above mentioned a majority of the qualified voters of
said town voting at such election voted in favor of the proposed bond
issue; and
Whereas, it is desirable that there shall be no doubt as to the
validity of said bond issue; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all
proceedings heretofore taken by the council of the town of Berryville
in calling the special election for the purpose above set out are hereby
validated, approved, ratified and confirmed, and such bonds, when
and as issued in such denominations and with such rate of interest
and dates of maturity as shall be prescribed by the said council of the
town of Berryville, shall be the valid and binding obligation of the
said town of Berryville. .
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its pas-
sage.
