Chap. 140.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of
Henry to levy a capitation tax in addition to the capitation tax now
Ievied by law, not excecding one dollar per annum on every resident of the
State within the limit of said county of Henry, to be applied in aid of
the public schools of said county of Henry. fH B 187]

Approved March 10, 1926.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of the county of Henry is hereby authorized to
levy a capitation tax in addition to the capitation tax now levied by
law, not exceeding one dollar per annum on every resident of the State
residing within the limits of said county of Henry, who is now re-
quired by law to pay a capitation tax, which shall be applied in aid
of the public schools of said county of Henry.

2. An emergency existing by reason of a lack of funds for the
maintenance of the public free.schools of said county of Henry, this
act shall take effect from its passage.
