ginia, aS amended and re-enacted by an act approved January 29, 1920, and
as amended and re-enacted by an act approved March 20, 1920, and further
amended and re-enacted by an act approved January 30, 1922, in relation
to judicial circuits. [H B 253]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sec.
tion fifty-eight hundred and eighty-eight, of the Code of Virginia
which section was amended and re-enacted by an act approved Jan.
uary twenty-ninth, nineteen hundred and twenty, and as amendec
and re-enacted by an act approved March twentieth, nineteen hun.
dred and twenty, and further amended and re-enacted by an act ap-
proved January thirtieth, nineteen hundred and twenty-two, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 5888. Judicial circuits—The State shall be divided intc
thirty-four judicial circuits as follows:
(1) The county of Norfolk shall constitute the first circuit.
(2) The counties of Nansemond and Southampton and -the city
of Suffolk shall constitute the second circuit.
(3) The counties of Brunswick, Prince George, Surry, Sussex anc
Greensville, and the city of Hopewell, shall constitute the third cir
cult.
(4) The counties of Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Nottoway, Amelia
Powhatan, and the city of Petersburg, shall constitute the fourth cir.

(5) The counties of Appomattox, Charlotte, Prince Edward
Buckingham and Cumberland shall constitute the fifth circuit.
(6) The county of Campbell, and the city of Lynchburg shal
constitute the sixth circuit.
(7) The counties of Pittsylvania, Henry, Patrick, and the city o
Danville, shall constitute the seventh circuit.
(8) The counties of Madison, Greene and Albemarle and the city
of Charlottesville shall constitute the eighth circuit.
(9) The counties of Culpeper, Orange, Louisa and Goochlanc
shall constitute the ninth circuit.
(10). The county of Henrico and the city of Richmond shall con
stitute the tenth circuit.
(11) The county of Elizabeth City and the city of Newport New:
shall constitute the eleventh circuit.
(12) The counties of Richmond, Northumberland, Westmore
land, Lancaster and Essex shall constitute the twelfth circuit.
(13) The counties of Gloucester, Mathews, King and Queen
King William and Middlesex shall constitute the thirteenth circuit.
(14) The counties of New Kent, Charles City, York, Warwick,
James City, and the city of Williamsburg shall constitute the four-
teenth circuit.
(15) The counties of King George, Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caro.
line and Hanover shall constitute the fifteenth circuit.
(16) The counties of Prince William, Fairfax, and Alexandria
and the city of Alexandria, shall constitute the sixteenth circuit.
(17) The counties of Frederick, Clarke, Warren and Shenandoah
hall constitute the seventeenth circuit.
(18) The counties of Augusta, Highland and Rockbridge shall
constitute the eighteenth circuit.
(19) The counties of Bath, Alleghany, Craig and Botetourt and
he city of Clifton Forge shall constitute the nineteenth circuit.
(20) The counties of Roanoke, Montgomery, Floyd and the city
f Roanoke shall constitute the twentieth circuit.
(21) The counties. of Pulaski, Carroll, Wythe and Grayson shall
‘onstitute the twenty-first circuit.
(22) The counties of Bland, Tazewell and Giles shall constitute
he twenty-second circuit.
(23) The counties of Washington and Smyth shall constitute the
wenty-third circuit.
(24) The counties of Lee and Scott shall constitute the twenty-
ourth circuit.
(25) The counties of Rockingham and Page shall constitute the
wenty-fifth circuit.
(26) Thecounties of Rappahannock, Fauquier and Loudoun shall
constitute the twenty-sixth circuit.
(27) The counties of Buchanan, Russell and Dickenson shall
onstitute the twenty-seventh circuit.
(28) The counties of Isle of Wight and Princess Anne and the
ity of Portsmouth shall constitute the twenty-eighth circuit.
(29) The counties of Amherst, Nelson and Fluvanna shall con-
titute the twenty-ninth circuit.
(30) The counties of Bedford and Franklin shall constitute the
hirtieth circuit.
(31) The counties of Accomac and Northampton shall constitute
he thirty-first circuit.
(32) Thecity of Norfolk shall constitute the thirty-second circuit.
(33) The county of Wise shall constitute the thirty-third circuit.
(34) The counties of Halifax, Mecklenburg and Lunenburg shall
onstitute the thirty-fourth circuit.
2. An emergency existing on account of congestion in some of the
ircuits, this act shall be in force from its passage.
