Chap. 439.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act entitled an act to
provide for the completion of the publication, binding and distribution of the
Code of Virginia, approved March 19, 1920. [H B 388}
Approved March 21, 1924.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
three of an act entitled an act to provide for the completion of the pub-
lication, binding and distribution of the Code of Virginia, approved
March nineteenth, nineteen hundred and twenty, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows: ,
Section 3. The price of the annotated Code shall hereafter be six
dollars per set, and that of the unannotated Code shall be three dollars
per copy, and the secretary of the Commonwealth shall fill at the said
prices, all orders hereafter received by him; provided, however, that the
secretary of the Commonwealth, subject to the approval of the governor,
is hereby authorized and empowered to make sale at any time in bulk of
all copies of the said annotated or unannotated Codes or both, then on
hand, except such number as the governor may think advisable to re-
tain for future use in the public service, at such price or prices and upon
such terms as he may be able to obtain.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
