Chap. 293.—An ACT to legalize, ratify and confirm certain taxes heretofore paid,
levied or assessed upon the shares of stocks of banks, banking associations, .
trust and security companies. [fH B 175]

Approved March 20, 1924.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, as follows:
All taxes heretofore or hereafter paid, levied or assessed upon shares
of stock of any bank, banking association, trust and security company,
are hereby legalized, ratified and confirmed to the extent that such taxes
are valid under the laws of the State of Virginia and under the provisions
of section fifty-two hundred and nineteen of the revised statutes of the
United States, as amended by an act of the Sixty-seventh Congress of
the United States, approved March fourth, nineteen hundred and
twenty-three.

2. Anemergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
