1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
twenty-three hundred and ninety-eight of the Code of Virginia, as here-
tofore amended, be amended and re-cnacted so as to read as follows:
Section 2398. Acts providing for assessment of certain taxes con-
tinued in force. The act entitled an act to raise revenue for support of
the government and public free schools, and to pay the interest on the
public debt, and to provide a special tax for pensions as authorized by
section one hundred and eighty-nine of the Constitution, approved
April sixteenth, nineteen hundred and three, and all acts amendatory
thereof, shall continue in force. .
The said act may be cited as the “tax bill” and the words “‘tax bill’’
in all citations of and amendments to the said act shall have the same
orce and effect as if in lieu thereof the whole of the title aforesaid was
et out in extenso. |
