Chap. 217.—An ACT to appropriate out of the game protection fund a sum su:licient
(but not exceeding the sum of three thousand dollars) to pay all necessary ex-
penses incurred by the committee heretofore provided for by joint resolution
of the general assembly for the investigation of the department of game and
inland fisheries; and if said committee shall sit during the recess of the general
assembly, to pay each member a per diem while actually engaged in attendin
meetings of his committee during such recess and his actual traveling and hote
expenses while engaged in the discharge of his duties as such member durin

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That there is
hereby appropriated out of the game protection fund a sum sufficient
(but not exceeding the sum of three thousand dollars) to pay all neces-
Sary expenses incurred by the committee heretofore provided for by
joint resolution of the general assembly for the investigation of the de-
partment of game and inland fisheries; and if said committee shall sit
during the recess of the general assembly, to pay each member of the
committee a per diem of eight dollars and thirty-three cents while ac-
tually engaged in attending meetings of his committee during such re-
cess and his actual traveling and hotel expenses while engaged in the
discharge of his duties as such member during such recess. Such per
diem and all necessary expenses, whether such expenses be incurred
during the session of the general assembly or during its recess, shall be
paid by the State treasurer upon warrants of the auditor of public
accounts issued on certificates signed by the chairman of the said com-
mittee.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
