Chap. 201.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 6074 of the Code of Virginia,
in relation to rules and rule days. {S B 258]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
six thousand and seventy-four of the Code of Virginia, be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 6074. When rules held, and how long continued.—In the
clerk’s office of every circuit and corporation court, and of every city
court having jurisdiction of civil cases at law or in equity, rules shall be
held on the first and third Mondays of every month, whether the court
be in session or not, except that when the term of a circuit court or of
such corporation or city court happens to commence on the first or
third Monday in a month, or on either of the two following days, the
rules which would otherwise have been held on the first or third Monday,
as the case may be, shall be held on the Monday of the preceding week.
The ruies shall continue three days.
