Chap. 196.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Warren county to
borrow not exceeding three thousand dollars, and issue bonds therefor, for the
construction of a bridge in said county. (S B 301]
Approved March 14, 1924.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Warren county be, and it is hereby, authorized
to borrow not exceeding three thousand dollars, and to issue bonds of
the county therefor, for the purpose of constructing a bridge across the
Shenandoah river at a point near the Brush bottom ford on said river,
if it should deem it advisable to construct the bridge aforesaid.
2. The said bonds if issued shall bear interest at a rate not exceed-
ing five and one-half per centum per annum, and shall not be sold for
less than par. They shall be signed by the chairman of the board of
supervisors and countersigned by the clerk thereof, shall be in such de-
nominations and payable at such time or times as the said board may
determine, not exceeding twenty years from the date of issue.
3. The said board of supervisors shall provide for the payment of
the interest on the said bonds and the creation of a sinking fund to re-
tire them at maturity.
4. Anemergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
