Chap. 183.—An ACT to authorize the board of visitors of the Virginia State school
for colored deaf and blind children to sell, and ,to grant a clear title to a
certain tract of land owned by the said institution. {H B 187]
Approved Mareh 14, 1924.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of visitors of the Virginia State school for colored deaf and blind
children be, and the same are hereby, authorized and empowered to
sell and to dispose of a certain tract of land, comprising sixty acres (more
or less) owned by the said institution in Wythe magisterial district, Eliza-
beth City county, Virginia, and to grant to the purchaser thereof a clear
title to said sixty acres (more or less) of land, or so much thereof;as
may be sold.
2. And the board of visitors of the said institution are hereby author-
ized and required to reinvest the proceeds of the sale in land more con-
venient to and adjoining the land upon which the said institution is now
located near the city of Newport News, Virginia.
3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
