CHAP. 92.—An ACT to appropriate $15,000 to the secretary of the Common-
wealth, payable out of the State highway maintenance and construc-
tion fund, to enable him to employ six additional inspectors to aid in
the enforcement of the laws relating to motor vehicles. [H B 118]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
there be, and is hereby, appropriated to the secretary of the
Commonwealth, payable out of the State highway maintenance
and construction fund, the sum of fifteen thousand dollars in
addition to his current appropriation, or so much thereof as
may be necessary. The said secretary is hereby authorized to
employ aS many as six additional inspectors to enable him better
to enforce the laws relating to motor vehicles, and to pay their
salaries and expenses out of the appropriation hereby made,
provided that no one inspector so employed shall be paid more
than at the rate of fifteen hundred dollars per annum for salary.
