Chap. 80.—An ACT to provide for closing the registration books fifteen
days before any special or primary election in cities of not less than
one hundred thousand nor more than one hundred and_ sixty
thousand inhabitants, and having a general registrar. [S B 53]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
in cities having a population not less than one hundred thousand
nor more than one hundred and sixty thousand inhabitants, ac-
cording to the last preceding census, and having a general reg-
istrar, the registration books for all voting districts or precincts
in such cities shall be closed for the purpose of registering voters
for a period of fifteen days next preceding the day of any special
or primary election.
