Chap. 78.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Grayson
county to enter into a contract with any person, firm, or corporation
for the construction and maintenance of a toll bridge across New River
in said county. [S B 51]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Grayson county is hereby authorized
to enter into a contract with any person, firm, or corporation
for the construction and maintenance of a toll bridge across New
river in said county. Such contract shall contain such provisions
as the board of supervisors may deem expedient with reference
to the location and construction, of the said bridge, its mainte-
nance, and the tolls to be charged for passage thereover. It shall
moreover contain a provision that such contract shall be sub-
ject to such future legislation concerning the same and the
rights acquiring thereunder as the general assembly may enact.

2. This act shall not be construed as authorizing such
board to enter into any contract concerning any road which is a
part of the State highway system.
