Chap. 54.—An ACT to validate and legalize an election for the issuance
of bonds for the construction of a waterworks system for the town of
Pennington Gap, and to validate bonds voted thereunder. [H B 40]
Approved March 21, 1928.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
an election held on the thirteenth day of June, nineteen hundred
and twenty-two for the purpose of taking the sense of the quali-
fied voters of said town of Pennington Gap, Virginia, concern-
ing the issuance of fifty thousand dollars in bonds of said town,
the proceeds of said bonds to be used for the construction and
installation of a waterworks system for said town for the pur-
pose of erecting and installing an adequate number of fire
hydrants for said town, at which said election the nfajority of
the qualified voters of said town voted in favor of said bond
issue, be, and the same, is, hereby ratified, legalized, and vali-
dated in all the particulars of qualifying the voters of said town
in the manner of ordering, calling and holding the said election
and that the bonds that may be issued for said purpose in pur-
suance to said election are hereby legalized and validated and
shall be when sold and paid for in accordance with terms of
sale, the valid, legal and incontestable obligations of said town
of Pennington Gap, Virginia.
2, An emergency existing, this bill shall be in force from
its passage.
