Chap. 44.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2302 of the code of
Virginia. [S B 41]
Approved March 20, 1923.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section twenty-three hundred and two, of the Code of Vir-
ginia, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 2302. Taxation of bonds of counties, cities, towns,
and other political subdivisions of Virginiaw—Bonds of the
several counties, cities, towns and other political subdivisions
of this Commonwealth, whether heretofore or hereafter issued,
are hereby segregated and made subject to State taxation only,
and shall not be subject to taxation by any of the counties,
cities, towns, school districts or other political subdivisions of
this Commonwealth.
2. This act shall apply to the assessment and collection of
taxes for the year nineteen hundred and twenty-three and
thereafter.
3. All acts, or parts of acts, in conflict with this act, are
hereby repealed.
