Chap. 4. An ACT to authorize and empower the town of Pocahontas, in
Tazewell county, Virginia, through its mayor and town council, to sell
and convey to the county school board of Tazewell county the school
property of the said town known as the high school property, located
in said town, with the appurtenances belonging thereto and as aa

used therewith.
Approved March 15, 1923.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the town of Pocahontas, in Tazewell county, Virginia, through
its mayor and town council, be, and it is hereby, authorized and
empowered to sell and convey to the county school board of
Tazewell county, at such price and upon such terms as may
seem advisable to the mayor and town council of said town, the
school property of the said town, known as the high school
property, located in said town, consisting of the lot of land
conveyed to said town by Pocahontas Consolidated Collieries
Company, Incorporated, by deed dated the twenty-second day
of August, nineteen hundred and twelve, and recorded in the
clerk’s office of Tazewell county in deed book number seventy-
six, page four hundred and twenty-eight, etcetera and the rights
and privileges therewith conveyed, together with the buildings
and improvements thereon and appurtenances thereto belonging,
and the equipment used in connection therewith.
29. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from
its passage.
