Chap. 18.-An ACT to validate bonds under chapter 28 of the acts of
1919 in the county of Albemarle. [H B 5]
Approved March 20, 1923.
Whereas, at an election held in the magisterial district of
Samuel Miller, in the county of Albemarle, on the seventh day
of November, nineteen hundred and twenty-two, a bond issue
was carried by a majority of the votes in said district, the pro-
ceeds of said issue to be used for macadamizing and otherwise
permanently improving the roads in said district; and,
Whereas, in the order of court in setting out the location.
length and width of such roads as were proposed to be macad-
amized or permanently improved from the proceeds of the
bonds sought to be issued there was inadvertently omitted from
said description of the “Red Hill Road” the words “Width of
roadway twenty-two feet”; and,
Whereas, some question has been raised in regard to said
width; therefore, |
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the said issue of bonds so authorized to be issued by the vcters
of the said magisterial district hereinbefore mentioned, notwith-
standing any defect or irregularity in the proceedings or elec-
tions authorizing the issue thereof, are hereby validated, ap-
proved and confirmed and are declared to be the general obliga-
tions of Albemarle county, payable as provided in chapter
twenty-eight of the acts of the general assembly of Virginia in
nineteen hundred and nineteen.
2. Inasmuch as questions as to the validity of said bonds
have been raised, an emergency is declared to exist and this act
shall be in force from its passage.
