Chap. 128.—An ACT to authorize the governor of Virginia to convey to
the government of the United States, in the name and on behalf of the
Commonwealth of Virginia, a certain parcel of ground, not exceeding
one-half acre, which is a part of a tract now owned by the Common-
wealth of Virginia, in the county of Princess Anne, together with an
easement or right of way leading from said parcel of ground to the
county road. [H B 1389]

Whereas, the government of the United States desires, for
the location of a fire control system, a certain parcel of land,
not exceeding one-half acre, which is a part of a tract now
owned by the Commonwealth of Virginia, in the county of
Princess Anne, near the town of Virginia Beach, known as the
Virginia Beach Camp Site and now used as a camp site and
rifle range; and,
Whereas, it is desirable for the Commonwealth of Virginia
to co-operate with the government of the United States in
matters of national defense; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the governor of Virginia be, and he is hereby authorized to con-
vey to the government of the United States, in the name and on
behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in fee simple for the
purpose aforesaid and without consideration, by deed under the
lesser seal of the Commonwealth, duly acknowledged for record,
the said parcel of ground not exceeding one-half acre, the exact
location and metes and bounds of which shall be as agreed upon
by the secretary of war of the United States and the adjutant
general of Virginia, together with an easement or right of way
leading from said parcel of ground to the county road.
2, An emergency existing, this act shall be enforced from
its passage.
