Chap. 465.—An ACT to authorize the commissioner of game and inland fish-
eries to permit bona fide owners of fox hounds, actually used for fox hunt-
ing, to release such hounds from confinement at any time. {H B 57]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
commissioner of game and inland fisheries be, and he is hereby,
authorized to issue permits to legal residents of this State. who are
bona fide owners of fox hounds, actually used for fox hunting, ‘on
which the kennel tax required by law has been paid, allowing such
owners to permit such fox hounds to run at large at any time,
whether or not accompanied’ by the owner or his agent; and it shall
be lawful for such fox hounds, to the owners of which such permits
have been issued, to run at large at any time, whether accompanied
by the owner or his agent or not, provided that not more thep thirty
fox hounds may be kept under such permit as is provided in this
act; provided, however, that the counties of Fauquier, Rockingham,
Craig, Shenandoah, and Rappahannock be excluded from the provis-
ions of this act. — .
