1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion two thousand and seventy-two of the Code of Virginia be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows: |
Sec, 2072. Penalty for inattention or for not giving passage in
reasonable time.—If at any ferry or bridge there be a failure to give
any person passage over the same in a reasonable time, or a failure
to give adequate attention to the operation of any ferry, the pro-
prietor of such ferry or bridge shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof fined not less than two dollars and fifty
cents nor more than five dollars.
