Chap. 418.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 4695 of the Code of
Virginia. [S B 88]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion forty-six hundred and ninety-five of the Code of Virginia be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Sec. 4695. Furnishing cigarettes or tobacco in any form or pistols,
et cetera, to minors.—If any person sell, barter, give, or furnish, or
cause to be sold, bartered, given, or furnished to any minor under
eighteen years of age, a pistol or dirk or bowie-knife, having good
cause to believe him or her to be a minor under eighteen years of age,
or if any person sell, barter, give, or furnish, or cause to be sold.
bartered, given, or furnished to any minor under sixteen years of
age, cigarettes or tobacco in any form, having good cause to believe
him or her to be a minor under sixteen years of age, said person shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and be fined not less than two dollars
and fifty cents nor more than one hundred dollars.
