1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be unlawful for any person renting the lands of another, either
for a share of the crop or for money consideration, to remove there-
from, without the consent of the landlord, any part of such crop
until the rents and advances are satisfied.
2. Every such offense shall be deemed a misdemeanor, and shall
be punishable by a fine or imprisonment.
