Chap. 25.—An ACT to amend and re-cnact section 4 of chapter 8 of an act
entitled an act to amend and re-enact all acts creating and amending the
charter of the city of Lynchburg, approved March 13, 1918. [H B 26]

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
four of chapter cight of an act entitled an act to amend and re-enact
all acts creating and amending the charter of the city of Lynchburg,
1pproved March thirteenth, nineteen hundred and eighteen, be amen-
ded and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Sec. 4. The council may impose a tax of one dollar per annum
upon each resident of the city who has attained the age of twenty-
one years.

2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
