Chap. 233.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 12 of an act entitled an act
to incorporate the town of Windsor, in the county of Isle of Wight, ap-
proved March 15, 1902, as heretofore amended. [H B 484]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion twelve of an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of
Windsor, in the county of Isle of Wight, approved March fifteenth,
nineteen hundred and two, as heretofore amended, be amended and
re-enacted .so as to read as follows:
Sec. 12. The council is hereby authorized to lay, collect, and
apply a general levy not exceeding seventy-five cents, not in conflict
with general law, on each hundred dollars’ worth of property at its
assessed value. The said council may also levy and collect a capita-
tion tax not exceeding fifty cents per capita.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
