Chap. 183.—An ACT to authorize the killing of elk in the counties of Botetourt,
' Rockingham and Rockbridge under certain conditions. {H B 358]

Approved March 15, 1922.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
owner, tenant, or lessee of any land in Botetourt, Rockingham and
Rockbridge counties is hereby authorized to kill any elk found de-
stroying or doing damage to crops or fruit trees growing upon his
land.

Provided that no such elk shall be killed, except while actually
on the lands of such owner, tenant or lessee.
