Chap. 126.—An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Stafford county
to levy a tax upon certain property for the purpose of erecting a court-
house, county offices and a jail in said county. [S B 353]
Approved March 4, 1922.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Stafford ,county be, and it is hereby au-
thorized to lay a levy of not less than twenty-five cents nor more
than fifty cents on the one hundred dollar valuation upon real estate
and tangible personal property in the said county of Stafford, for the
purpose of erecting a courthouse, county offices and jail upon the
present site at Stafford courthouse, which said levy shall be con-
tinued until the entire expense of erecting said buildings to completion
is paid, and any funds remaining from the said levy, after the pay-
ment of said expense, shall be converted into the general county
fund, at which time the said levy shall be discontinued.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
