1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sectior
five thousand, nine hundred and seventeen of the Code of Virginia
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Sec. 5917. Who to execute process of hustings court, and hust-
ings court, part II1.—The sergeant of the city of Richmond shall be the
officer to attend the hustings court and execute its process and orders
and the sergeant of the hustings court, part two, and such deputy 01
deputies as may from time to time be appointed or provided for him
shall be the officer of that court, and shall attend upon its sessions
and execute its process and orders, comformably to the provision:
of the annexation or consolidation ordinance of the cities of Richmonc
and Manchester.
