cents to reimburse Louis A. Heindl, Herbert W. Harris and Pembroke W.
Taylor for expenditures made and bills incurred by them in the organizatior.
and recruiting of the Thirteenth company, Virginia coast artillery, between
the time of its organization and muster into the Federal service, on May

Whereas, it appears that between the tenth day of December, nine-
een hundred and seventeen, on which date the organization was mus-
ered into the State service of this Commonwealth, and its mustering
nto the Federal service on May first, nineteen hundred and eighteen.
‘aptain Louis A. Heindl, First Lieutenant Herbert W. Harris, and
econd Lieutenant Pembroke W. Taylor, of the Thirteenth Company
f the Virginia Coast Artillery, expended money and incurred in-
lebtedness for which they are personally responsible, aggregating
even hundred and eleven dollars and twelve cents, which expenditures
ind indebtedness were necessary in the recruiting of the said military
rganization as a part of Virginia’s contribution to the service, in time
f war; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
sum of seven hundred and eleven dollars and twelve cents be, and
he same is hereby, appropriated out of any money in the treasury of
he Commonwealth not heretofore appropriated, for the purpose ot
reimbursing Louis A. Heindl, Herbert W. Harris and Pembroke W.
Taylor, Richmond, Virginia, former captain, first lieutenant and second
lieutenant, respectively, of the Thirteenth Company of Virginia Coast
Artillery, and to pay bills incurred by them as aforesaid.
