Chap. 437.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of any county con-
stituting a separate judicial circuit to supplement the fees of any constable
therein by the payment of a salary. [fH B 454]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of any county constituting a separate judicial
circuit may, upon the approval or recommendation of the judge of the
circuit court thereof, pay to any constable therein, a salary, exclusive
of the fees received by such officer, not to exceed twenty-five dollars
per month. "
