1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion twenty-eight hundred and six of the Code of Virginia be amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Sec. 2806. Pay of overseers—The pay and allowances to over-
seers shall be two dollars per day while actually engaged, and not to
exceed forty dollars for each overseer for one year, to be paid out
of the county levy.
