Chap. 323.—An ACT for the protection of deer and elk in) Shenandon’ county.
} - Approved March 19, 1920.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be unlawful to hunt, kill, chase with dog's, or otherwise capture,
buy, sell, offer for sale or have in possession”any wild deer or elk
in the county of Shenandoah until the year nineteen hundred and
twénty-two.
2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine
of not less than twenty-five nor more than one hundred dollars or
imprisonment in the county jail for thirty days. When any convic-
tion is had, the sum of fifty dollars shall be taxed as a part of the
costs in the case and shall be paid to the person on whose informa-
tion the conviction was secured.
3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
