Chap. 285.—An ACT to provide for the protection of the wild life in the
county of Clarke. [H B 191]

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia as
follows: It shall be unlawful to hunt, kill or capture any pheasants
or wild turkevs in the county of Clarke for the term of five years,
beginning November first, nineteen hundred and twenty-one, and end-
ing November first, nineteen hundred and twenty-six.
Sec. 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, kill or capture
quail in the county of Clarke between the first day of January and
the fifteenth day of November.
Sec. 3. It,shall be unlawful for any person to take or capture any
fish of any description from any waters in Clarke county by means
of fish pots; or to take or catch in said waters any trout or bass by
means of gigging or by means of trot lines. The taking or catching
of any fish other than trout or bass in said waters by means of gigging
or trot lines is hereby declared to be lawful.
Sec. 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this act
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined
not less than five nor more than twenty-five dollars. _
Sec. 5. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are
hereby repealed.
