Chap. 279.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of an act entitled an
act appropriating the proceeds of the Glebe lands, and other property, be-
longing to the parishes of Abingdon, Ware, and, Petsworth, in the county
of Gloucester, and for other purposes, passed January 25, 1814. [H B 184]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
three of an act entitled an act appropriating the proceeds of the Glebe
lands, and other property, belonging to the parishes of Abingdon,
Ware and Petsworth, in the county of Gloucester, and for other pur-
poses, passed January twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and fourteen, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Sec. 3. The terms of office of the trustees of “the Gloucester
charity school” who may be in office on the day this act takes effect
shall end on that day, and thenceforth the members of the board of
supervisors of Gloucester county, and their successors, shall, by virtue
of their office, be, and act as, the trustees of the said Gloucester
charity school.
The said trustees shall hereafter apply the funds at their disposal
for educational purposes in Ware and Abingdon districts as designed
by the said Peasly.
