Chap. 223.—An ACT to provide for a portrait of the late Senator Thomas S.
Martin, and to make appropriation therefor out of the public Emde

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
arts commission shall provide for the making of a life-size portrait
of the late Senator Thomas S. Martin, and proper framing therefor,
and that the sum of fifteen hundred dollars, to be used for the pay-
ment therefor, be, and it is hereby, appropriated, to be paid out of any
funds in the State treasury not otherwise appropriated, on the order
of the said commission at such times and in such amounts as said
commission may order; and such portrait, when completed, shall be
hung in the hall of the house of delegates.
