county to issue bonds for an amount not exceeding $60,000.00 for a period

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Rockingham county be authorized and em-
powered for a period of four years, beginning January first, nineteen
hundred and twenty, to issue time warrants not exceeding sixty thou-
sand dollars ($60,000.00) at a rate of interest not to exceed six per
centum per annum, to pay off and discharge the present floating debt
upon said county, created in the construction and maintenance of
roads, to meet the State aid fund and to meet current expenses; and
to renew said time warrants from time to time as may be necessary
for the period aforesaid.
2. There being a floating debt against the county, and money
being needed to meet the State aid fund, etc., an emergency is declared
to exist and this act shall be in force from its passage.
