dred and twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000.00) of bonds for re-building,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That in
addition to the present indebtedness of the city of Newport News,
the said city be, and it is hereby, authorized to issue one hundred and
twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000.00) of bonds, the proceeds of
which are to be expended in rebuilding, repairing and redecking
bridges in said city, extending over railway tracks therein.

2. That in the issuance of said bonds the council shall follow
the procedure and do all things required by chapter one hundred
and twenty-two, Code of Virginia, nineteen hundred and nineteen,
required to be done in the issuance of bonds.

3. The city of Newport News desiring to immediately construct
the improvement herein provided for, an emergency is declared, and
this act shall be in force from its passage.
