Chap. 12.-An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Pittsylvania
county to borrow the sum of seventy-five thousand dollars to be used
for general county purposes, including public schools and public roads
and to issue notes or bonds therefor. [S B 103]
Approved February 4, 1920.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Pittsylvania county be and is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to borrow the sum of seventy-five thousand
dollars and to execute bonds or notes for the repayment of same, said
bonds or notes to be executed by the chairman of said board and coun-
tersigned by the clerk thereof and divisible in such sums as said
board may determine, and payable at such times as said board may
determine, not exceeding three years from date and to bear interest
at a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum and at maturity
to be paid out of the general county levy. Said sum shall be used
and expended by said board for general county purposes, including
public schools and public roads.
2. An emergency existing by reason of pressing demands for
said sum of money for the purposes aforesaid, this act shall be in
force from its passage.
