CHAP. 38.—An ACT to appropriate the sum of $8,040.00 to the register
of the land office and superintendent of grounds and buildings for
maintenance of the capitol grounds and buildings; and to provide ice,

- fuel, light and water for the capitol and library buildings, governor’s

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of eight thousand and forty dollars be, and the same is
hereby, appropriated, out of any moneys in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated, to the register of the land office and
superintendent of grounds and buildings, to expire at the end of
the current appropriation year, February twenty-ninth, nine-
teen hundred and twenty, for the following purposes, to-wit: —
For maintenance of the capitol grounds and buildings.$2,920 00
‘To provide ice, fuel, light and water for the capitol and >

library buildings, governor’s house and power plant 5,120 00

2. An emergency existing by reason of the urgent need of
the funds hereby appropriated, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
