Chap. 37.—An ACT to appropriate the sum of $13,015 to the college of
William and Mary in Virginia to purchase and replace worn out and
discarded dormitory equipment, to make necessary repairs to college
buildings, and to provide circulating hot water for the college Bay
ings,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of thirteen thousand and fifteen dollars be, and the same
hereby is, appropriated, out of any moneys in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated, to the college of William and Mary in
Virginia, of which three thousand and eight hundred and forty
dollars shall be used to purchase and replace worn-out and dis-
carded dormitory equipment, three thousand and two hundred
and ninety-five dollars shall be used to make necessary repairs to
the college buildings, and five thousand and eight hundred and
eighty dollars shall be used to provide circulating hot water in
the buildings of the college; and the said funds hereby appro-
priated shall be paid out in the same manner as other funds
appropriated for this institution.
2. This money being immediately necessary to put the col-
lege in fit condition to open for the coming session and to pro-
tect the buildings of the institution, an emergency is declared
to exist, and this act shall be in force from its passage; and the
funds hereby appropriated shall be payable as soon as the con-
dition of the treasury, in the discretion of the auditor of public
accounts, will permit.
