CHAP. 17.—An ACT to prohibit the taking of fish from the streams of
Franklin county, except with hook and line. [H B 80]
Approved September 4, 1919.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be unlawful for any person, at any time, to take fish
from the streams of Franklin county in any manner, except
with hook and line in the usual and accepted sense of angling.
2. Any person violating this act shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor and punishable by a fine of not less than five nor more
than fifty dollars.
3. This act shall not apply to the catching of minnows.
4. An emergency existing by- reason of the scarcity of fish
in said county, this act shall take effect from its passage.
