Chap. 78.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to authorize
the board of supervisors of Lunenburg county to appropriate money to a
Confederate monument, approved February 20, 1908, and amended by an
act of the general assembly approved February 5, 1916. {H B 135]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an
act entitled an act to authorize the board of supervisors of Lunen-
burg county to appropriate money to a Confederate monument, ap-
proved February twentieth, nineteen hundred and eight, and amend-
ed by an act of the general assembly, approved February fifth, nine-
teen hundred and sixteen, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
Section 1. The board of supervisors of Lunenburg county be.
and they are. hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate the
sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750) or so much thereof
as may be necessary, to assist the Confederate organization of the
county in erecting in the courthouse square, or at such other place
as the board of supervisors may select, a monument to the meniory
of the Confederate soldiers of Lunenburg county.
