Chap. 393.—An ACT to appropriate, upon certain conditions, the sum of
$630.00 for the installation of three automatic flue cleaners (one for
each boiler) for the Virginia State power plant, Richmond, Virginia. ;

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of six hundred and thirty dollars, be, and the same |s
hereby, appropriated out of any money in the treasury not other-
wise appropriated, to the National Flue Company, Incorporated.

any, to be used for a trial period of four months from date of
installation. If at the end of the said four months’ trial period,
the said cleaners prove a saving in coal consumption to warrant,
in the judgment of the superintendent of public buildings, their
purchase, they are to be paid for within ten days after the expira-
tion of the four months’ trial period, by warrant on auditor of
public accounts. In the event that they are not satisfactory to the
superintendent of public buildings, they are to be detached and
removed at the expense of the said National Flue Company, and no
charge will be made for the four months’ trial, nor any expense
incurred by the State of Virginia in any way on account of said
trial, and the sum of six hundred and thirty dollars hereby appro-
priated for this purpose shall in that event revert to the treasury
of the State of Virginia.
