Chap. 339.—An ACT to authorize the sale and conveyance of a lot of not
exceeding fifteen acres of land, part of the State penitentiary farm.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of directors of the penitentiary is authorized to sell a
lot of not exceeding fifteen acres of land, part of the State farm in
Goochland county; situated upon the boundary of said farm; pro-
vided such board shall be satisfied that such lot of land is not an
essential part of said farm, and that its sale at the price which can
be obtained for said lot will be advantageous to the State.
No such sale shall be valid or final until and unless it shall be
approved by the governor.
2. Upon the approval of such sale by the governor and the pay-
ment in full of the agreed price, the president of the board of di-
rectors of the penitentiary is empowered to convey said lot of land
fo the purchaser thereof by deed with special warranty of title.
