Chap. 335.—An ACT to authorize and empower the council of the town of
Luray, in the county of Page, to convey certain land to the Confederate
memorial association of said county. (H B 442]
Approved March 16, 1918.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
ouncil of the town of Luray, in Page county, Virginia, be, and it
s hereby, authorized and empowered to convey by deed to the
Yonfederate memorial association of said town, a triangular piece
f ground in said town, bounded by Campbell street, Broad street
xtended, and Virginia avenue, for the purpose of erecting thereon
, monument to the memory of the Confederate soldiers of Pa
county, and to those other Confederate soldiers whose residence in
Page county has been of such duration as to thoroughly identify
hem with the affairs of said county.
2. An emergency existing for the passage of this act, the same
hall be in force from its passage.
