Chap. 330.—An ACT to empower the board of supervisors of York county
to borrow money for the purpose of bridging Felgates creek, Kings creek
and Queens creek, in the county of York, to borrow money for said pur-
pose and to issue bonds therefor. {H B 430)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of York county be and it is hereby au-
thorized to borrow money in a sum not to exceed the sum of fifty
thousand dollars, and to issue bonds therefor, to be used for the
purpose of building and constructing bridges over and across Fel-
gates creek, Kings creek and Queens creek, in said county, or over
any one or more of said creeks, as to the said board may appear to be
advisable and expedient for the public interest, and to build and
construct the approaches to said bridges; said bridges to be con-
structed over said creeks at such points thereon as the board shal:
determine.
2. The said board shall determine the denominations in which
said bonds shall be issued, not to exceed the amount of one hun-
dred dollars each; whether said bonds shall be registered or coupon
bonds; for what period the same may be issued, not to exceed thirty
years; the interest to be paid thereon, not to exceed six per centum
perannum. The said board is hereby authorized and empowered to
retire any or all of said bonds at any time after five years from the
date thereof.
3. The said board of supervisors shall have authority and power
to levy special tax upon the property of such county, at a rate not
exceeding that allowed by general law, for the purpose of paying
the interest upon said bonds and establishing a sinking fund for the
retirement of said bonds.
