Chap. 240.—An ACT to provide for the admission of women to the College
of William and Mary in Virginia. [(S B 63]

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That begin-
ning with the session opening in the fall of the vear nineteen hun-
dred and eighteen, the college of William and Mary in Virginia
shall admit properly prepared women to its collegiate and normal
courses, and upon graduation shall grant them degrees upon the same
terms as those upon which like degrees are granted to men.
