1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Culpeper county, Virginia, be, and it is
hereby authorized and empowered in its discretion to appropriate a
sufficient amount of funds out of the county levy to convert one of
the floors of the old district school building in the town of Culpeper,
Virginia, into an auditorium, to be used for an assembly hall and
for public beneficial purposes, by and with the consent of the school
trustees of Catalpa magisterial district, provided, however. that no
dancing and amusements of a similar character shall at any time be
allowed or permitted to be conducted and had in said building.
