Chap. 140.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 8 of an act entitled an act
appropriating the proceeds of the Glebe lands, and other property, belong-
ing to the parishes of Abingdon, Ware, and Petsworth, in the county of
Gloucester, and for other purposes, approved January 25, 1814. [H B 227]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia. That sec-
tion eight of an act entitled an act appropriating the proceeds of
the Glebe lands, and other property, belonging to the parishes of
Abingdon, Ware, and Petsworth, in the county of Gloucester, and
for other purposes, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows:
Section 8. And be it enacted, That the trustees hereby appointed,
and those who may hereafter be appointed pursuant to the provis-
ions of this act, shall, before entering upon the performance of their
duties, enter into and acknowledge a bond or bonds, with such secur-
ity as the court of the county of Gloucester may approve, in the
penalty of one thousand dollars, payable to the Commonwealth of
Virginia, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties
required by this act.
