Chap. 128.—An ACT to make and declare the county courthouse building and
the lot appurtenant thereto, located in Harrisonburg, a part of Central
magisterial district in Rockingham county, for certain purposes. [S B 220]
Approved March 9, 1918:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That for
the trial of warrants, both civil and criminal, by justices of the
peace of the county of Rockingham, and for the examination of the
case of a person brought before a justice of the peace of said county
charged with crime, the county courthouse lot in the city of
Harrisonburg, in Central magisterial district of the said county, on
which the county courthouse stands, shall be deemed to be a part
of the said Central district, and a justice of the peace of the county
having jurisdiction to try or to examine a case may, subject to the
authority and control of the board of supervisors, and of the court,
over the property, sit for the hearing of the same at said court-
house or on any part of said lot in like manner and to the same
purpose and effect as if the trial or examination were had in said
Central district outside of the city of Harrisonburg.
2. And be it further enacted that the said county courthouse
Jot shall also be deemed a part of said Central district for the pur-
pose of establishing a voting place, or voting places thereon for any
election district or districts of the said Central magisterial district
lying contiguous to the city of Harrisonburg.
