Chap. 126.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Rockingham
county to acquire rock quarries. . [S B 219]

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Rockingham county be, and the same is
hereby, authorized and empowered to purchase and hold for said
county any tract or tracts of land, located in said county and not
exceeding five acres In any one tract, when in the opinion of the
board such tract or tracts are suitable for quarrying therefrom
stone to be used in the construction or repair of public roads in said
county. When any such tract or tracts of land are purchased, the
same shall be paid for out of the road fund of the county, by war-
rant drawn by said board on said fund. Any tract so acquired
may be subsequently sold by said board in such manner, on such
terms and after such advertisement as said board may determine
and the deed of conveyance therefor shall be made and signed by
the chairman of said board, in the name of said board.
